Although the mintage is not as low as some other dates in the series, that does not make this coin common by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it is downright tough to find in EF or finer grades. This coin is "begging" to be an AU, but just misses. Very lustrous. Well struck throughout except on the top of Liberty's head, where the hair strand separation is missing. Toned in wisps of gold over soft silver gray fields.
