When you look at the massive price differential between an AU-58 and an MS-60, my money is on the AU-58 increasing in value. MS-60 bid is $26,000! The other "problem" with an MS-60 grade coin, especially on a heavy gold coin like this, is the vast amount of heavy bagmarks and scuffs you see for the grade. This AU-58 has a couple of light marks, but is quite clean overall. The luster is thick and frosty and accentuated by orange peel toning highlights in protected areas. A mere 16,606 pieces were coined for circulation this year. Tough all the way around and sure to delight the new owner. Another "sleeper" date with good growth potential, in my opinion.
