1888-S $5 Liberty Head Half Eagle PCGS MS63 (CAC)

A well struck, frosty, highly lustrous example of this important date.  The very definition of a sleeper date. Low mintage with just 293,900 pieces coined.  Of those, just 18 pieces graded MS-63 at PCGS and NGC combined with a mere 3 that have CAC'd.  Additionally, there are only 3 coins graded finer and all are MS-64 examples.  A prize for the astute collector.
