1896-S Barber Quarter 25C NGC XF45

Although not the lowest mintage issue in the series, it is still considered on of the three top rarities by date in the Barber Quarter series, especially in higher grades, like this coin, where the population of survivors really tapers off.  In fact, there have only been 24 pieces graded EF-45 at PCGS and NGC combined!  This wholesome, steel gray example, has incredibly well defined design elements, frosty, lustrous fields and great eye appeal and originality. A prize for the astute collector.
